What is Cataract Surgery?
What is Cataract surgery, and how does it work?
First of all, cataract surgery is one of the most successful and safe procedures preformed today.
Our eye doctors specialize in a “No-Shot, No-Stitch, No-Patch” surgical method that replaces the cloudy natural lens of the eye with a clear lens implant in a safe, painless surgery that uses no injections or stitches. The operation itself requires the surgeon to make a tiny incision on the eye through which the surgeon inserts an instrument about the size of a pen tip. This instrument breaks up the cloudy natural lens of the eye into small pieces that are then removed. Once removed, the surgeon inserts a replacement lens through the same incision and maneuvers it into position.
